Miss Autumn and her supa fly outfit from Cousin MacKenna.

Today is the reunion of a terrible tragedy but all I have in my heart this morning is gratitude for the life I have. I hope that Autumn and Dominic never ever witness an attack on America like we have. I thank God that I was on the other side of the country and that our families are safe. We are having a great time after some bumps in the road that at the time they were happening seemed to be craters. My mother and Daddy Mark are in town for the weekend and no matter how old I am when I see my parents I feel a sense of ease and security. Yesterday Autumn (in her very adorable outfit) ran around town with me in sometimes rain, sometimes wind, and a few moments of sunshine. My new fave store is the Fleet Supply. When I walk in there I almost wish I was a cowgirl (and you can be my cowboy). I think I saw some friends from the past but that is how our days go here. We see people we think we know and get the stagger stare from them like they know us then smile and move on. I wonder if they are whispering to their spouse "Is that so and so" Like I do to Dana.

Dana is getting into a routine down at the dealership and we see him through out the day. He comes home almost geeked about new experiences and all the things he is learning. Last night he pulled up and we were sitting at the window chatting. Autumn was beside herself excited. "DADDY! DA DA DA!" She loses her balance and sense of common and pile drives me to get off the couch. As she waddles to Daddy D it's a very sweet moment to see them reunite after a few hours apart.

We spent some time outside in the wet lawn while Lala cut Papas hair. I scurried around to pick up soggy 4 day rained on dog poo before she noticed it. I wanted to keep her soft pink ASU coat nice and perfect and her new mittens (from Fleet) nice new and cream. I didn't not take into consideration the pot of wet slimy dirt that is just at the right level for her to dig in or the dogs water bowl. It really isn't a big deal though. She loves to be outside and a good day is to me is when she comes in filthy! I was telling Mom and Dad "Look how good she is on steps..." and SLAM! down goes Autumn, she picks herself up and waddles to the next one with a brief hello to which ever dog has come to her aide.

Gemini (our oldest at 14) is having a really hard time getting around but she is still full of life. She acts like she is winding up for a run but it becomes a skip then a limp for her poor ol bones. Bean and Autumn are buds when Autumn isn't taking the dog treat out of Beans mouth and eating it herself! We've only had a handful of snarls and snaps. It is sad to think that Autumn won't remember Gemini or maybe even Bean, but these two have adjusted well to her and to all the changes in their life. It's nice to think that my ever faithful Gem started her days in Montana and we have made a full life together and she will say her farewells to us in Montana.

Boohoo! snort sniffle, I think I have a pee pain...

Anyway, today is the Chokecherry Festival and we plan to go down and eat too much food and maybe buy silly little gifts. It will be nice to see Lewistown in full swing of entertaining guests. It will also be a perfect day after a perfect evening laughing with my mother. She could be a stand up comic and I think make millions.

The rain has passed...for now it is gorgeous out and I almost need my shades sitting at our dining room table with a cove of windows. It's going to be a great day!
