Dominic 8 months, big sister Autumn 26months
Had a few pictures of the Meis side of the family visiting then realized I was writing on Mothers blog...Oh bother. SO, now that brother is up I did some fanagling with him on my lap and this is whatcha get. I feel anxiety climbing up my spine. I wish technology was easier to chew. BLEH!!!
September somehow is flying by. I'm learning that most months do once you have kids. Autumn has added "probably" to her vocabulary, and also "um because". It's very cute to see her put her shoulders to her ears and hands open after being asked something like "why did you bite your brother?" "Um, because..." I am wondering if she has so much going on in her little mind that she can't get it out fast enough. She usually talks so clear and one can follow a story but lately there is a lot that we don't understand but she looks at us as though we should. Ah, translation, the fun part of a two year old? The other day Autumn was holding a Yahtzee game and using it as a phone. I didn't understand most of it but she had a hand on her hip, her other in the air and the game rested on her shoulder. I heard "okay, hello? (she yells hello) okay, I love you, okay, kiss kiss. okay, muuuuuaaaahhh (kisses the game and hands it to me), all done talking Mom". That went nice and smooth, she was just over the phone. Last night, while chatting with Lala it didn't go so smooth. After a brief interruption from their first chat I called Lala back for Autumn and gave her my cell (remember when we had 3 rules? no sugar, no phones, no clickers). She talked with Lala about her brother, what she had done that day, her cousins Logan Markus and Ju (she calls Logan his full name) and that she needed to see Lala. After 4 mins 47 secs. I said "say bye bye Lala has to cook for Papa and we need to watch for Vanessa" the heart break meltdown began. I even hid in a closet while saying goodbye to my mother so that Autumn wouldn't see me on the phone. She went to every room, walking quietly in then wailing just in case I was in there. When I finally came out from hiding it was a full blown sob. Snot down her chin, big alligator tears, the sniffle in the throat. I picked her up "Let's change your pants Autumn, it's okay. Lala will see you soon." "MOM!!! WHY?! I need her, I need Bella, I need Ju, I need Mr. Happy". How did he get in there? Mr. Happy is a stuffed blue thing that brother loves to play with. Am thinking she needed to let brother know how upset she was and take Mr. Happy from him. After a few minutes she pulled herself out of sad ville, and came out to see brother "Hi Brother, I'm sad". Okay so maybe she was still a little upset.

Aww, her LaLa needs to see her too. JuJu and Logan Markus both have colds so it won't be for a little longer :( I hear there is quite a little bit of flu going around in L-town. Great blog...print is very small. I had to get up really close even with my bi-focals on :)
Talk to you later. Enjoy your day. It is a wee bit chilly but promises to be a gorgeous day. Love you forever, MOM

Good, (I'm not the only one that thought print was small) I thought I was losing my sight cause the words were so little. I even had my eyes get cross-eyed while reading the little little words. Anyway, enjoyed reading about Autumn, such a little love. Wait until you have 2 talking! The Rock
