Every day is a winding road

This is a shot of our hometown/new town.

Life has been great. We are adjusting to the loss of Gemini and sometimes think we see her peeking around clothes or clicking down the hallway. We know she is not in pain any more and that is relief to my soul.
Everyday seems busy. We joke that we have moved to a "slower pace" of life and have yet to actually slow down. In fact, in some ways it feels like we have picked up the pace to keep up! It is working perfectly. After Dana gets home from work we have supper together and the cutest part happened last night when he reached out for our hands to pray and Autumn grabbed his thumb. It was a precious moment. After our meal we all clean up then sit on the floor in the living room and hang out with Autumn at her level for a while. She has learned the sign for 'baby' and we are working on 'brother'. When we say "where is brother" she lifts her shirt and taps her belly. Still trying to figure out how to let her know that I'm the carrier;). She is so incredible and so fun!
We went to our good friend Lizs' house on Friday morning to play with Mere (her 1.5 year old) and our new friend Jenny with her 1 year old Jorrin. There were some rough patches with the girls getting comfortable but they get better every time we get them together. When Jorrin came over it was a whole new ball game. He was Mister Popular spending alone time with Mereydth and Autumn. Ha! I can't wait to watch all three grow together. It turned out to be a great time for me too. I sat around and visited with two pretty awesome ladies. It was honest, real, and hilarious. I felt relieved and elated after I left. Like I had evidence now that I have the same feelings, fears and experiences as other moms.
We keep talking about driving to the Missouri Breaks to hear and see the elk. I really don't know when or if we can get to that this year. My room up at the Untangled Salon is coming slowly but surely and my MT license even slower. This morning I'm going to finish staining some shelves so we can put them up this afternoon.
Dana golfed Thursday and "shot" a 74. He was like a little boy after Christmas morning, excited and pooped all at once.
We think we have finally met and like a doc. for our new arrival in Jan. We had a check up last week and all is going perfectly. Dominics heart rate is 146, my belly is stretched (and stretching) at 26, which is right on target, and the plans to welcome him home are coming into place. Hopefully we get the nursery finished next week but you know what if we don't that will be okay too;)
Today is a great day. Have a wonderful weekend my dear friends and family!
